The Hopfenveredlung St. Johann is the largest processing plant for hop pellets worldwide. At its location, the Hallertau in Germany, hops from the world's most important growing regions are processed and exported to over 120 countries around the world.
At the beginning of 2020, Profipack installed a robot palletiser with associated pack and pallet transport. Sensitive cardboard boxes are processed which are closed with wet adhesive tape immediately before the palletizing process. Due to the adhesive technology, the cardboard boxes are very sensitive and must be handled carefully . This has been optimally implemented by means of a fork head with which the packs are gripped underneath. Up to 5 different pallet types and different carton sizes with a weight of up to 50kg can be processed.
Profipack makes an enormous contribution to the most important basic supply of the beverage industry.
The customer to the plant:
"We are very satisfied with the system and have not had any problems so far. Many thanks to all involved from the Profipack team for the professional execution of the project, starting with the planning up to the installation, programming and commissioning of the robot. It was really a very nice project, which has been carried out without any problems and trouble. I hope that we can still tackle the one or other project together in the future, I would be very pleased.
