Profipack Verpackungsmaschinen GmbH, a company established on the market for almost 25 years, is known for innovative palletizing and depalletizing technology in the beverage industry. Through an increasingly better networking on the market and also innovative solutions, the company has been able to develop steadily over the years and has now grown to a company size of just under 60 people. In addition to its business activities in the food and beverage industry, Profipack has also been able to win customers in the non-food sector and score points here as well with flexible systems.
A very young branch of the company, which specializes in end-of-the-line solutions and palletizing and depalletizing techniques in intralogistics, is developing at a similar pace and can already contribute a significant part to the company's growing turnover. Using a patented depalletizing machine, optimized for fully automated storage systems of grocery retailers, Profipack has already successfully installed systems at LIDL.
Due to the tightening of legal regulations, for example in the course of a load handling regulation for the protection of employees, a strong growth towards fully automated storage systems can be seen in intralogistics. Even in times of crisis, as currently seen with the COVID-19 pandemic, the food supply must be maintained. Profipack recognized the developments towards fully automatic storage systems at an early stage and has developed a fully automatic depalletizing system in the high-performance range over the past six years and brought it to series production readiness.
The next step is to align the company with the rapidly growing market and to build up and train personnel in all areas in order to be able to handle future projects accordingly. The developed machine sets standards in the field of automation technology, especially with regard to servo, drive and camera technology. Further solutions for the intralogistics sector are also planned, which will certainly bring about a technology boost in the industry.
"The intralogistics sector is an extremely exciting and innovative place to work, and working with a customer like LIDL is also very exciting. Now it's time for Profipack to fill the new business with creative and innovative employees, who preferably already have a very good know-how in the field of automation and mechanical engineering."
