Darbo, a family business, has been producing jams, syrups and fine fruit liqueurs from fruit in a small fruit steam plant in the old Austrian town Görz since 1879. After the World War I, however, the company had to make a new start in Stans, Tyrol. From there and 2 other locations, Darbo today supplies customers worldwide with the highest quality products.
In order to meet current and future requirements, a new Profipack robot palletizing system was installed at Darbo. The system consists of a robot with a shutter head, which palletizes inverted glass in shrink trays in various layer patterns and simultaneously inserts the intermediate layers.
18,000 jars or 3000 packs/h are processed in a very small space.
In spite of the space-saving installation, the ground-level installation provides ideal ergonomics for operation and maintenance.
The increase in output means that Darbo is also equipped to meet future challenges.
