Machland GmbH was founded in 1970 and is the largest producer of sour vegetables in Austria (brand, private label, contract production) with headquarters in the middle of Machland (Naarn, Upper Austria). Machland decided to improve their plant with new palletizers. Profipack were given the following tasks:
- The palletizing area will be divided between two halls, so that the pick-up and the take-off will be located in the warehouse.
- Required output 2400 packs/h, 16 different formats, all packed differently. These can be in shrink, in carton and in shrink + carton. Finally, they are palletised on Euro pallets.
- The new line is connected after the two packaging lines.
- The product variety is divided between two lines
Implemented by Profipack with the following approaches:
o The line consists of two identical pivoting column robots and has an extremely compact design due to a closely spaced pack transport system
o The first-class accessibility for loading pallets and layer pads also scored points.
o The shutter head masters the different formats without any problems, so that a palletising capacity of 4800 packs/h can be achieved.
o The finished pallets are then transported through two gates to the connected warehouse, where they are accepted ready for delivery.
