On 10 July 1900, the winegrowers in Dürkheim merged to form the "VIER JAHRESZEITEN" winegrowers' cooperative. Incidentally, the name goes back to the 18th century - to a pub (with excellent cuisine) where the first founding meeting took place.

The growing demands placed on winegrowers by the wholesale trade caused the number of members to rise to 75 already in the founding year. Thanks to successful business development, the cooperative continued to grow steadily. So they decided to invest in a new wine line.

Profipack was awarded the contract after submitting a PROFIPLAN overall plant design, which provided the customer with significant added value compared to the competition and was convincing right from the start.

Profipack was ready to build a PROFILINE consisting of: 

• PROFIPAL Combi Unloader:
  • A machine that combines 3 machines with a very small footprint: bottle lifter, crate unloader as well as bottle unpacker for sink glass.
• PROFITRANS:
  • Bottle transport with plastic chain where no belt lubrication is required.
• PROFIPAC:
  • Bottle set packer with the special feature that 38 different pack formats (carton and crate) with bottle sizes from 0.25L to 1L can be processed with only 5 sets. This minimises set-up time as well as maintenance and cleaning enormously.
• PROFITRANS:
  • Pack transport for crates and cardboard containers.
• PROFIPAL:
  • Palletising suitable for cardboard boxes as well as crates. For this, only one louvre-grid is required.
• PROFIPAL:
  • Palletising suitable for cartons as well as crates. Only one shutter gripper head is required for this. Retrofitting of an attached layer pad inserter was also taken into account here.
• PROFITRANS:
  • Pallet conveyor technology incl. film cutting platform and transfer car, as well as machines from our partners, which were integrated by Profipack:
    • a pallet wrapper from Robopac
    • a carton erector from BEDO
    • a carton sealer from BEDO

The installed remote maintenance gives the customer additional security.

Thanks to this, Profipack can also provide flexible and rapid support for new pack heights, etc.
